| Module content | This module introduces the oral hygiene student to the maxillo-facial pathology commonly encountered in general practice. It will enable the student to differentiate between variants of normal and pathological lesions. A basic knowledge of the etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical appearance of the lesions will be acquired. Selected treatment modalities relevant to the oral hygienist will also be discussed in this module. |
